Jean Marie Johnson Jean Marie Johnson
Senior Consultant

Experience and Education:
BA in Social Work, MS in Counseling/Human Resource Development.  Significant Corporate and Consulting experience including Internal HR/OD in a contact center environment.   Academic, strategic, systemic and pragmatic.  A penchant for seeing the forest in the midst of the trees.

Personal Trajectory:
There are four quadrants to my personal archetype: the gypsy…who is comfortable everywhere; the journeywoman…who is a humble student seeking mastery, the servant who practices reciprocity; the muse…whose whimsy inspires.

Virtues:
An affinity for peacocks – the perfect dichotomy of the ridiculous and the sublime; ethereal  and earthy Rilke poetry; great food and sumptuous wine; classic literature.  I am: steadfast and tenacious.  I can find a beautiful jewel in a pile of rubbish.  Live and let live…

Vices:
Lately? Haagen Dasz Coffee Ice Cream and fresh white lilies—but not together. Flexible adherence to road rules.

Favorite Project:
Rebirthing and rebranding our country inn; frolicking  in my vintage boutique, The Gilded Peacock.

Special Interests:
Gardening at 6 a.m. with the awakening earth as my companion.

From the poet, Miller Williams: “Have compassion for everyone you meet even if they don't want it. What seems conceit, bad manners, or cynicism is always a sign of things no ears have heard, no eyes have seen. You do not know what wars are being fought down there where the spirit meets the bone.”

The George Bernard Shaw paraphrase:  “Oh that my being and my doing are my contribution.”
