Sales & Marketing
I've been a professional gypsy for more than 25 years. My goal has been to surround myself with interesting people from whom I can learn. I've been lucky enough to work with the best at PBS, NPR, a Pacific Rim think tank, and a national advertising agency. I've spent the last six years as a software trainer. I discovered I like teaching as much as I like learning. Now I've begun my next adventure here at Communico. Once again, when the student is ready, the teacher shall appear!
I've become good at demystifying the foreign. Whether teaching English as a second language or introducing a “newbie” to computers, if I get it I can help others get it too.
I've learned to enjoy everything and need nothing.
I enjoy everything!
Sharing what I know and love, especially as a volunteer. I've given talks on collecting vintage jewelry, prepared new immigrants for their citizenship exams, and tried to build habitable houses. (I've found that I'm much better with a brush than with a hammer.)
I love to check out new places and people. I come to Connecticut via Albany, Washington, D.C., Honolulu, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco. This has allowed me to play tennis and golf on some of the prettiest courts/courses you'd ever want to see. Sadly neither of my games has improved, and I'm blaming it on the distracting scenery.
